An urban transit rectifier 3 phase transformer is used to supply the overhead 1500V DC power to the Sydney and Melbourne Metro railway system. Now prepared in epoxy resin construction, they are maintenance free.
Tortech’s rectifier transformers have high reliability and strong harmonic suppression and good DC voltage balance performance. Using 12 pulse and 24 pulse phase shifting technology the harmonic content is greatly reduced, reaching the latest level of current rail transit technology.
