Isolation transformers can be used to provide galvanic isolation between input and output windings. These transformers can be built with an interwinding earth screen.
This screen is effective in attenuating common mode noise present in the supply. Isolation transformers are commonly used for testing, centralised grid connected PV inverter(MV Split winding transformer),UPS isolation, Railway and Defence applications.
All dry type transformers are routine tested to AS 60076.11. Special type tests such as temperature rise and impulse tests can also be prepared.
Tortech Isolation transformers are custom manufactured tailored to customer specific requirements.
Typical designs include the following features
- Amorphous and CRGO steel for ultra low core loss and high efficiency for Solar applications
- Non grain core design for low remanence flux density for applications with specific in-rush current requirements
- Aluminium or Copper sheet/rectangular windings for economical solution
- Dry type Air natural natural transformers are available with PT100 temperature probe and controller
- ISO-9000 Quality control system. Mitted core construction and core clamping for protection under short circuit conditions
